About Be Well

The idea for Be Well has been in the making for years. Early in her career as a PA, Lauren recognized that the majority of the health conditions she was treating were preventable. Heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, even cancers and dementia relate to lifestyle choices, which means YOU can help navigate your health future. Be Well is about guiding you on this journey to true health. We’ll take a deep dive into your health, working to reduce medications, focus on nutrition and help prevent future disease.

Let’s walk this path…together.

About Lauren

As a graduate of Eastern Virginia Medical School Master’s in Physician Assistant studies in 2007, Lauren has spent most of her career in Primary Care and Internal Medicine. Having treated infants to elderly, she has a broad appreciation of the health spectrum, from well-baby exams to acute illness, chronic disease to end-of-life care. Her experience as a PA allows her to view your health with a wide-angle lens, but also zoom-in on individual diseases when necessary. In 2019, Lauren attended a Lifestyle Medicine conference that she considers life-changing. It dramatically changed her personal perspective on health and how she wanted to impact the health of her patients. Since that time, she has worked to shift her role to disease prevention and helping patients achieve optimal health with Lifestyle Medicine. In 2021, Lauren became the first PA in the Fredericksburg area to become board-certified in Lifestyle Medicine. In 2021, Lauren joined Dr. Askew with Virginia Cardiology Consultants to bring a Preventative Cardiology program to Fredericksburg, VA. In 2022, Lauren joined Terra Health Coaching to expand her reach to clients who prefer a digital platform to track their progress toward health. When not working, she enjoys hiking, biking and traveling with her family.
